set files get saved to disk a set file contains your presets, the media you've got loaded, and all the behavior chains/layer-specific fx chains that are in use when the set file was saved. I think you're a bit mixed-up (though with good reason, i don't think this has been covered in the documentation yet). Other than that, it's a great software so thank you very much Vidvox guysĪienn Posts: 103 Joined: Fri 6:22 am Location: Russia And - if someone from this forum collects some other resources on VDMX5 (links, reviews, tutorials, perhaps even sets), I'd be really grateful if you'd share - I'm not new to VJ software but in this case the learning curve is a bit steep (almost no help and a nice but short wikipage isn't that much). is there any default extension (and maybe icon?) for VDMX sets (just to tell them from other files on my mac). Wouldn't it be just a bit more convenient to have some "default" invisible preset saved on File save and recalled on set load, or do I miss something that is already there? Or maybe that's in your to-do list?Īlso. I don't know if this is by design but I guess it's a bit counter-intuitive - to save/recall your work you basicly have to save twice, in preset manager and then in the File menu. VDMX recalls my sets from the preset but it never recalls a save state. I'm a new user to VDMX5 (and I never used any previous Vidvox products), and now as I have a license and the saving is enabled, one thing strikes me as really odd.
