![]() ![]() He struggled against Ruby even though he had just gotten powered up by Touya and has been relegated to the sidelines pretty much the entirety of Clear Card. The power he displayed in the Final Judgement seemed to be really strong, yet it's barely played a part since. Heck, Yue even won said confrontation before Kaho interfered (which was breaking the rules anyway as Yue said there couldn't be outside interference IIRC).Īfter that, I was actually a bit disappointed in his use. Yet, Yue with his stoic nature completely wreck Syaoran and his completely dismissive towards Sakura (who up until that moment Kero always pushed as a great successor to Clow) just made me think "wow, Sakura might actually get hurt this time". Even Syaorans initial conflict was seen more of a tantrum by a brat in my eyes. Up until that moment, I never had the sense that someone was out to "Get" Sakura. His initial introduction was quite shocking. I do expect him to try and help Touya with whatever "that time" entails, but he's probably the second person (after Sakura) to know the least about the situation. It seems Yukito has been pushed aside in Clear Card, after the reveal in S2 he did lose a lot of his mystery aspect and with Sakura falling for Syaoran there really is no good reason to dedicate as much time to his character as in S1-S2. His huge appetite and incredible sports aptitude should have been key clues, especially when he outperformed Kaho (a magic user), yet I was still surprised by the twist.Īs for his future involvement. Of course, I felt completely dumb when the plot twist happened. However, as the series progressed I did get to see that Yukito is just generally a nice person and his pairing with Touya is sweet. I love the addition of her as a character. Same with all the extra cards she gets to catch along the way in the anime as opposed to the few in the manga, they were a great addition. I am also a big fan of Tou-Yuki, so of course, I love that the anime gave us more of them than the manga did. ![]() It gave us time to get to know, appreciate, and love each character more. While I love the subtlety of the character development in the manga, the anime did bring all of them to life in a much more rounded way. With the Cardcaptor Sakura anime, the aesthetics remained, and with Tomoyo around, it was not hard to bring all the beautiful outfits to life. I think the style is one of the most beautiful I have seen throughout, and it never ceases to catch my eyes and wish I could have all the outfits, magical devices, and weapons used throughout. The character designs are simply sublime, and the fashion & subjects explored just adds to the overall beauty and mythology. Hands down, CLAMP's art is beyond beautiful. I think the anime also makes some scenes and moments easier to understand & much more grandiose, like the battle against Yue and bringing forth the seriousness of all that could have been lost. At its core, the main story is the same, but the anime does a fantastic job of expanding on it and toning down the uncomfortable aspects of it. Anyway, I have rewatched the anime multiple times, and it was finally time to fully delve into the source material itself. It is no mystery this is my favorite anime ever (along with Digimon, of course, ahem…). And so I have decided to start off with my ultimate favorite magical girl: Cardcaptor Sakura. ![]()

![]() ![]() So, the idea with laser cooling in this particular experiment is if I have atoms that are moving quickly towards my laser, they absorb photons and get slowed down, so I can slow down the fast ones and not mess with the ones that are already slow enough. Absorption of the light is dependent on how fast the atom is moving. Now, light carries momentum, and when an atom absorbs one of its preferred photons, it gets a kick from the momentum of the photon, sort of like catching a heavy medicine ball if you’re standing on ice. When I spoke to Jeffrey, I asked: Can you explain how the technique that you use, which is called laser cooling, works?Īntihydrogen, like other atoms as far as we know, can absorb light, and atoms like to absorb particular colours of light. Slowing down antihydrogen could unlock experiments that will be able to compare anti-hydrogen and regular hydrogen with unprecedented precision. Antihydrogen consists of just one antiproton and one antielectron. In an experiment described in this week’s Nature, Jeffrey and the team were investigating how to slow down the movements of the simplest possible anti-atom – antihydrogen. It’s certainly lucky for us that it did, since if there’d been equal amounts of both it all would have annihilated and there would be no stars, planets, humans or podcasts. If physicists found some deviation in antimatter’s properties from the mirror image of matter that we’d expect, that could explain this fundamental question – why our Universe was created with a surplus of matter over antimatter. Why did the Universe evolve to matter instead of antimatter? If the Universe started as energy and it went on to evolve some mass, what happened to the anti-mass that should have been created at the same time? And the answer is we simply don’t know. ![]() The answer is how could you not if you can? So, there’s some mysteries associated with these antimatter particles, and this dates back to the beginning of the Universe. So, given that these experiments are so challenging, why are Jeffrey and collaborators painstakingly studying antimatter? It means that any experiments with antimatter are incredibly tricky, as one wrong move and your antimatter bumps into some matter and is annihilated. The interesting thing about these particles is they don’t exist normally because if they come into contact with normal matter they will annihilate and release a bunch of energy. Finally, Shadowling Ammo and Death Ritual are very useful to most builds because they provide melee minions to tie up monsters giving you more time to shoot at them. Its high mana costs also make it difficult to use as a primary attack. Glaive Throw was once a fantastic source of damage, but has now been nerfed down to simply a good choice. Blade Pact is useful for bow and crossbow builds in order to take full advantage of these weapons extreme range. Long Range Mastery and Master of the Elements both work with wands, and so a high focus build works well with them. Rapid Fire is an excellent skill to use with any sort of ranged weaponry and is especially useful for shotgonne and bow builds. However, you wouldn’t want or need to make this conversion anyway. Because of this, they’re not compatible to save as the other or convert to one another. They are both the direct result of digital downloads from different cameras. The ORF and NEF are similar image file types. Is it possible to convert the ORF to NEF? The NEF has its own software program through Nikon. Similar to the ORF, the NEF has its own flagship software system, the Nikon Capture NX-D, which allows users to edit NEF files. When a Nikon picture is transferred to a computer, the digital result is an exact duplicate of the original. The NEF image file is a raw digital representation of any picture that is taken using a Nikon camera. The Olympus Viewer software system handles most of the editing procedures, though it’s common for users to convert their ORF files in order to use different programs. It is a raw representation of the exact picture, in high resolution, downloaded to a computer for digital use. ORF is an acronym for Olympus Raw Format. The ORF image file is the digital format for photographs snapped using an Olympus camera. When this occurs, it’s important to have a solid understanding of your many different options. There usually comes a time when these files need to be converted from their raw state. They knew the tremendous risk going into an active enemy area in daylight, without their attack support, and without the cover of night. The heavy weight of the attack helicopters slowed the formation’s advance prompting the MH-47 to outrun their armored escort. Entering a hot combat zone, attack helicopters are used initially to neutralize the enemy and make it safer for the lightly-armored, personnel-transport helicopter to insert. The MH-47 was escorted by heavily-armored, Army attack helicopters. Murphy returned to his cover position with his men and continued the battle.Īn MH-47 Chinook helicopter, with eight additional SEALs and eight Army Night Stalkers aboard, was sent is as part of an extraction mission to pull out the four embattled SEALs. Murphy picked it back up, completed the call and continued firing at the enemy who was closing in. At one point he was shot in the back causing him to drop the transmitter. He calmly provided his unit’s location and the size of the enemy force while requesting immediate support for his team. While continuing to be fired upon, Murphy made contact with the SOF Quick Reaction Force at Bagram Air Base and requested assistance. This deliberate and heroic act deprived him of cover and made him a target for the enemy. Moving away from the protective mountain rocks, he knowingly exposed himself to increased enemy gunfire. Murphy, intent on making contact with headquarters, but realizing this would be impossible in the extreme terrain where they were fighting, unhesitatingly and with complete disregard for his own life moved into the open, where he could gain a better position to transmit a call to get help for his men. But before he could, he was shot in the hand, the blast shattering his thumb.ĭespite the intensity of the firefight and suffering grave gunshot wounds himself, Murphy is credited with risking his own life to save the lives of his teammates. Approximately 45 minutes into the fight, pinned down by overwhelming forces, Dietz, the communications petty officer, sought open air to place a distress call back to the base. Trying to reach safety, the four men, now each wounded, began bounding down the mountain's steep sides, making leaps of 20 to 30 feet. The firefight continued relentlessly as the overwhelming militia forced the team deeper into a ravine. They launched a well-organized, three-sided attack on the SEALs. The SEAL mission was compromised when the team was spotted by local nationals, who presumably reported its presence and location to the Taliban.Ī fierce firefight erupted between the four SEALs and a much larger enemy force of more than 50 anti-coalition militia. Under the assumed name Muhammad Ismail, Shah led a guerrilla group known to locals as the "Mountain Tigers" that had aligned with the Taliban and other militant groups close to the Pakistani border.
